The “Osna(žena)” project focused on raising awareness of domestic violence as an important social issue that requires greater public attention, particularly in light of deeply rooted patriarchal norms and gender stereotypes that often justify or minimise violence against women and children.
The project aimed to psychologically empower women survivors of violence through professional support and effective trauma-coping strategies, while also informing them about available legal protection mechanisms.
The “Osna(žena)” project also included the expansion of the capacity of the Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Violence, in accordance with European standards, thereby improving conditions for providing safe accommodation and adequate support to women and children experiencing violence.
