The Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Domestic Violence Lea continues to implement activities aimed at empowering women, preventing violence, and providing professional support to survivors.
As part of the “Naslikaj aktivizam!” project, funded by the Municipality of Bar, women and girls will have the opportunity to participate in painting workshops, receive psychosocial support, and express themselves creatively while processing traumatic experiences. The project will conclude with a final exhibition and panel discussion.
In August, the “Korak po korak – psihoterapijom do osnaživanja i reintegracije” project will also begin. The project was selected for funding by the Centre for Women’s Rights Podgorica, with the support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). It will provide women who have experienced violence with free and continuous psychotherapeutic support, with the aim of helping them overcome the consequences of violence, strengthen their personal capacities and self-confidence, and successfully reintegrate into society.
Through both projects, Shelter Lea aims to provide women not only with safety and support, but also with concrete opportunities for recovery, empowerment, and building an independent life free from violence.
