“Youth Mental Health Without Taboos” – Lecture at “Kekec” Primary School

On 10.10.2025, Anđela Jukić, psychologist and coordinator at the NGO Lea, Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Violence, held a lecture at “Kekec” Primary School in Sutomore entitled “Youth Mental Health Without Taboos”, in cooperation with the Secretariat for Local Self-Government of the Municipality of Bar.

The lecture focused on the importance of maintaining good mental health, mental hygiene and ways in which young people can take care of their psychological well-being.

Particular attention was given to the stereotypes and prejudices faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties, as well as the importance of discussing these topics openly and without stigma.

The discussion also addressed the consequences that cyberbullying can have on children and young people, as well as the importance of recognising problems in a timely manner, taking appropriate action and seeking support.
