On 08.09.2025., as part of the “eTolerancija” project, implemented within the programme “Zajedno za opšte dobro – Jačanje povjerenja građana u institucije i izgradnja otpornih zajednica” (“Together for the Common Good – Strengthening Citizens’ Trust in Institutions and Building Resilient Communities”), NGO Lea Bar held a lecture at the European House in Bar entitled “From the Network to Reality: Digital Violence and Human Rights in Montenegro.”

The lecture was delivered by mr Danijela Nikić, an activist with the Spectra Association. The aim of the activity was to raise awareness about digital violence, its consequences and ways of protecting victims.

During the event, a dialogue was opened on a range of important topics, including the boundaries between freedom of expression and hate speech, the responsibility of social media users, the emotional impact of public humiliation, as well as the importance of reporting violence and providing support to victims.

The participants, most of whom were young people, highlighted that the lecture helped them better recognise situations of violence and learn whom they could turn to for help.

The lecture was open to the public and proved to be an educational, empowering and valuable activity, contributing to greater awareness of digital violence and improved protection of young people in Montenegro.
