As part of the activities envisaged by the Local Action Plan for Achieving Gender Equality in the Municipality of Bar 2022–2025, NGO Lea Bar organised a panel discussion on 31 March 2025 at Hotel Princess entitled “Implementation of the Protocol on Procedures, Prevention and Protection in Cases of Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women and Psychosocial Support for Victims of Violence.”
The aim of the panel was to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and exchange experiences between institutions and organisations involved in the victim protection system, as well as to improve the practical implementation of the Protocol.
The panel brought together representatives of relevant institutions and organisations:
- Biljana Zeković, Director of the SOS Line for women and children victims of domestic violence in Podgorica;
- Tamara Spasojević, President of the Basic Court in Bar;
- Andrijana Raković, Head of the Children and Youth Service at the Centre for Social Work for the Municipalities of Bar and Ulcinj;
- Dragana Vlahović, representative of the Bar Security Department.
The panel was moderated by Emilija Jukić, representing NGO Lea Bar.
Through open dialogue and the exchange of experiences, participants discussed the challenges faced by institutions and organisations in implementing existing protection mechanisms, as well as opportunities for their improvement.
The panel contributed to a better understanding of challenges in practice and to strengthening cooperation between institutions and organisations providing support to women and children who are victims of violence.
