At the invitation of Global Fund for Women, Anđela Jukić, Coordinator of the NGO Lea Bar, participated in the Balkan Gender Justice Regional Movement Convening, organized by the CURE Foundation.
During this regional gathering, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, knowledge, and good practices in the field of gender justice, as well as to discuss ways to strengthen the women’s movement and improve collective action across the region. The programme covered topics such as supporting movement-led approaches, funding opportunities for initiatives, monitoring and measuring their impact, and the importance of storytelling and sharing personal experiences to raise awareness of gender inequality.
The gathering was particularly valuable for fostering connections among organizations across the region, creating space for mutual support, and strengthening cooperation in the pursuit of gender equality and justice. Participation in this event provided an important opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences that can contribute to the continued development of the work of the NGO Shelter for women and children victims of domestic violence Lea Bar, as well as strengthen its role within the broader regional gender justice movement.
