“STOP DISCRIMINATION – TOGETHER FOR EQUALITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAR”

On 11.10.2025, NGO Lea, Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Domestic Violence, in cooperation with the Secretariat for Local Self-Government of the Municipality of Bar, implemented the campaign “STOP DISCRIMINATION – TOGETHER FOR EQUALITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAR.”

The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness of discrimination, promote equality and highlight the challenges faced by women and girls from the Roma and Egyptian communities.

As part of the campaign, the NGO Lea psychologist produced a short educational video entitled “Invisible Wounds – Psychological Consequences of Discrimination and Violence Against Women and Girls from the Roma and Egyptian Communities.”

Through this activity, attention was drawn to the often invisible consequences of discrimination and violence, as well as the importance of providing support, protection and empowerment to women and girls facing multiple forms of vulnerability.
